‘Morning Light’ Maiden Grass

Miscanthus sinensis ‘Morning Light’

Great choice for beginners because of its easy maintenance. It will grow in most any soil, from loose sand to heavy clay and doesn’t require good drainage. Wine colored stalks rise above silver variegated foliage until light plumes turn a pink blush for a fall and winter show. Cut back in late winter before new shoots appear, and divide in late spring when needed. ‘Morning Light’ is appreciated for it’s more rounded upright habit and fine texture compared to other miscanthus.
