‘Standing Ovation’ Little Bluestem

Schizachyrium scoparium ‘Standing Ovation’

Extremely sturdy stems that don’t flop over, even in high winds and heavy rains. Stunning blue-green foliage adds a great contrast against evergreens with touches of green, pink and purple. The foliage turns fiery red and orange in the fall. It’s silver plumes develop seed heads and maintain them through winter providing a good food source for foraging birds. Cut back in early spring to make way for new growth.
